The notice does not tell owners to stop driving, but if the seat is too close to the airbag an occupant could be seriously injured in a crash, so keep the seat as far back as is comfortable until it is inspected.

What's wrong, in plain English

A small part called a seat limiter, which stops the seat from sliding too far forward, may have been left out of these Chrysler Pacifica and Voyager vans by the company that modified them. Without it, the seat can end up closer to the airbag than it should be. Airbags inflate very quickly and with force, so sitting too close to one raises the chance of being hurt in a crash. A dealer checks the seat and installs the limiter if it is missing.

Summary: Braun Corporation (Braun) is recalling certain 2024 Chrysler Pacifica and Voyager vehicles. The seat limiter may not have been installed, allowing the seat to move too far forward. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Safety risk: A seat positioned too close to the air bag can increase the risk of injury during a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and install a seat limiter as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 17, 2024. Owners may contact Braun customer service at 1-800-488-0359.
