What's wrong, in plain English

Water can get into the housings for your truck's reverse lights — the white lights that come on when you shift into reverse. Moisture inside can make one or both lights stop working. Without them, it's harder for you to see behind you at night, and people walking or driving behind you don't get the usual signal that you're about to back up. Your dealer will replace both reverse light assemblies and fix the wiring if needed, at no cost.

1. Enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to confirm your truck is included. 2. Call your Toyota dealer to book the repair, or Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331 (recall numbers 24TB06 and 24TA06). 3. The parts and labor are free; because this is a phased recall, ask the dealer when parts are available for your vehicle.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles. Moisture may enter the reverse light assemblies and cause a light failure.
Safety risk
Reverse light failure may reduce visibility, and not alert pedestrians and other drivers that the vehicle is backing up, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace both reverse light assemblies and repair the wire harnesses as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed May 23, 2026. This is a phased recall. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331.Toyota's numbers for this recall are 24TB06 and 24TA06.
