It broke a federal safety rule because no backup image raises the chance of a crash while reversing, but the notice places no limits on driving and says all affected vehicles have already been fixed.

What's wrong, in plain English

Some Pacifica minivans were built with the wrong radio, and that radio can keep the backup camera picture from appearing on the screen. Federal safety rules require a working rearview image, so these vans did not meet the standard. Without the camera view you cannot see everything behind you while reversing. Chrysler says dealers have already replaced the radio in every affected van at no charge, and owner letters were mailed in August 2025.

Summary: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Chrysler Pacifica vehicles. The vehicles were built with an incorrect radio, which can cause the rearview camera image not to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Safety risk: A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers replaced the radio, free of charge. All affected vehicles have been repaired. Owner notification letters were mailed August 7, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 57C.
