Ram ProMaster radiator fan wiring can overheat and catch fire

This is serious — an overheating circuit can lead to an under-hood fire — but Chrysler has not told owners to stop driving or to park outside, so keep driving while you get the repair scheduled promptly.

What's wrong, in plain English

The wiring that powers the radiator cooling fan can get too hot. That overheating can damage the circuit and start a fire under the hood, even while you are just driving normally. The free fix replaces the cooling fan module and its fuse, and the dealer adds a label for the fuse box plus an insert for your owner's manual. Chrysler has been mailing letters in groups, with the last ones expected in July 2026.

What you should do

1. Enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to confirm your van is included in campaign 25V720000.
2. Call your Ram dealer, or Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403 (recall numbers 67C, B3C, C9C), to book the repair.
3. Have the fan module and fuse replaced — the work and parts are free, even if you are not the first owner.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2026 Ram ProMaster vehicles. The electrical circuit for the radiator fan may overheat.
Safety risk
Electrical circuits that overheat increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the cooling fan module and fuse. In addition dealers will provide an addendum for the manual and label for the power distribution center. Some interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed December 11, 2025. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 11, 2025. Additional owner notification letters were mailed in January, March, and June 2026. Remaining owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's numbers for this recall are 67C, B3C, and C9C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 30, 2025.
