Ford Econoline and Ram ProMaster backup camera image reversed
medium How serious is it? About this label
The notice does not tell owners to park the vehicle, but a reversed image can make you turn the wrong way while reversing and cause a crash, so rely on your mirrors and a spotter until it is repaired.
What's wrong, in plain English
These work vans and trucks have an add-on backup camera screen that can reset itself to factory settings. When that happens, the picture flips left to right, like a mirror image. Something that appears on the right side of the screen is really on your left. Backing up, you could steer the wrong way to avoid a person or object behind you. The company that installed the screens will notify owners and provide a free fix.
