These vans were delivered with an owner's manual — both the printed book and the digital version in the vehicle — that may be wrong or missing information. If you follow the instructions in that manual, you could operate something in the van incorrectly, because the description of how a feature works may not match your actual vehicle. Nothing on the van itself is being repaired. Mercedes will give you an up-to-date printed manual and update the digital one in the van, free.

1. Confirm your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to see if your Sprinter is included.
2. Contact a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter dealer, or customer service at 1-877-762-8267, and reference recall VS3PRIDIBA.
3. Pick up the new printed manual and have the in-vehicle digital manual updated — both are free.

Summary
Daimler Vans USA, LLC (DVUSA) is recalling certain 2019 Mercedes Benz Sprinter vehicles. These vehicles may have been delivered with a version of the printed and digital operator's manual that may be inaccurate and/or incomplete.
Safety risk
If the operator relies on the provided owner's manual, the information about vehicle functions and other safety relevant information may be inaccurate and/or incomplete, which could lead to improper operation of the vehicle and potentially increase the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy
DVUSA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the printed version of the operator's manual with the latest version and update the software of the digital version, free of charge. DVUSA distributed owners an interim notification on January 22, 2021. The recall began March 17, 2021. Owners may contact DVUSA customer service at 1-877-762-8267. DVUSA's number for this recall is VS3PRIDIBA.
