Audi e-tron glove box may block knee airbag
medium How serious is it? About this label
An air bag that does not deploy properly can increase the risk of injury in a crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.
What's wrong, in plain English
The pin that holds the right side of the glove box lid on its hinge may not be fastened properly. If it isn't, the trim on the glove box lid can get in the way of the knee airbag when it inflates. That airbag sits behind the dashboard and is meant to cushion the passenger's legs in a crash. An airbag that can't open the way it should leaves you less protected, so injuries in a crash could be worse.

3. The dealer inspects the glove box and secures the hinge pin as needed, free of charge.
