Nissan Rogue fuel tank may be punctured, leaking gas

NHTSA campaign 22V660000 · Reported 2022-08-31 · Nissan North America, Inc.

high How serious is it? About this label

This is serious because a fuel leak can start a fire, so have your Rogue checked as soon as possible; the notice does not tell owners to stop driving or park outside.

What's wrong, in plain English

Nissan is recalling certain 2022 Rogue SUVs. During work done to modify these vehicles, the fuel tank may have been accidentally poked and left with a hole. A hole in the tank can let gasoline leak out. Leaking gas near a hot engine or exhaust can catch fire. Your Nissan dealer will look at the tank and put in a new one if it is damaged, at no cost to you.

What you should do

1. Enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to see if your Rogue is included. 2. Call your Nissan dealer or Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 (recall PC912) and book an inspection. 3. Have the tank inspected and replaced if needed — the repair is free.
