Moderate — the van drives normally and you can keep driving it, but in a crash the windshield may not protect you as it should, so schedule the free replacement.

What's wrong, in plain English

The windshield is glued to the body of the van, and that bond is part of the vehicle's safety structure. On these vans the glue may not have been applied correctly, so the windshield could come away from the van in a crash. If it does, people inside are less protected during the crash and can be injured. The van drives normally otherwise. The dealer will install a new windshield free of charge.

Summary
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024 Pacifica and Voyager vehicles. The windshield may not have been properly bonded to the vehicle, allowing it to detach during a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 212, "Windshield Mounting."
Safety risk
A windshield that detaches from the vehicle during a crash can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the windshield, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 30, 2024. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 25B.
