Cadillac XT5 driver airbag may tear when deploying
high How serious is it? About this label
An airbag that doesn't work as intended increases your risk of injury in a crash, and the problem gives no warning beforehand, so get it replaced promptly.
What's wrong, in plain English
On certain 2024 Cadillac XT5 vehicles, the fabric cushion of the driver's front airbag can tear as it inflates during a crash. If the bag rips, it won't inflate and protect the driver the way it was designed to. You can't tell whether your airbag has this problem by looking at it — it only shows up in a crash. Dealers will replace the whole driver's front airbag module free of charge.
