Cadillac LYRIQ front sway bar bolts can loosen

NHTSA campaign 25V232000 · Reported 2025-04-10 · General Motors, LLC

high How serious is it? About this label

Serious but not a park-it recall: the notice says damaged cables or coolant lines can shut the vehicle down and cause a loss of drive power, raising crash risk, so get it inspected promptly.

What's wrong, in plain English

The bolts holding a front anti-sway bar bracket to the frame may not have been tightened properly when the car was built. Over time those bolts can work loose and come out, letting the bar or its bracket break free underneath the car. A loose bar can then hit and damage the high-voltage cables or the battery cooling lines. If that happens, the car can shut down while you are driving and lose power.

What you should do

1. Enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to confirm your LYRIQ is included.
2. Call your Cadillac dealer, or Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223 (GM recall number N252494190), and book an inspection.
3. The dealer will check and tighten the stabilizer bar bracket bolts free of charge.
