Chrysler Pacifica and Voyager side curtain airbags may leak

NHTSA campaign 25V302000 · Reported 2025-05-08 · Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)

high How serious is it? About this label

Serious in a crash, because a leaking curtain airbag raises the chance of someone being ejected; the notice does not tell owners to stop driving.

What's wrong, in plain English

The side curtain airbags — the long airbags that drop down over the side windows — may have seams that were not sealed properly. An airbag that leaks loses air too fast and may not stay firm through a crash, so people inside are less protected from being thrown out of a window. This recall has since been replaced by a newer one, 26V189, and vehicles already repaired under it need the newer repair too.
